Looks like a great location for a complex. You will be able to admire it from the house and it will be a wind break aswell. It is always good to have long term plans to.

Just an update as to progress.Trees,or should i say sticks, were planted at the beginning of August last year and are now well on their way, with most being around the 1 metre high mark.If you look at one of the photo's,you will see the angle cut of the trunk about 25 cm above the ground. This is the size they were when i got them, basically just a small stick with roots on the end. They should grow around 2-3 metres high before this winter and being deciduous, stop growing and drop their leaves.Very happy with them, they all survived and look to be healthy.Wire and such is around them to stop my sheep from getting at them, they seem to enjoy eating everything that they are not supposed to.Current birds doing well with Siskins and Plumheads breeding like mice. All the best for the New Year to everybody.

Just an update on progress. These trees were planted as 20 - 30cm bare rooted sticks August 2018 and some are over 1.8mt high now.Hopefully they will be 3-4mt high plus by the end of this growing season.I was going to let them get a bit higher before starting one of the six aviaries but am getting a bit toey and may start one next year.I have already planted some standard roses for the front of 4 aviaries [2 in each] and have my young small leaf saltbush up and growing in some pots. These will be planted out after summer this year. The long garden you see will be outside the front of my aviaries and you can see the roses for inside the aviaries at the front of this. It is a long term plan, but it will come together soon enough.
