Good seed is still available, each bird sale generally has a seed merchant there.
Hot weather comes each summer and that was what we are trying to protect them from .
We have been experiencing good seasons and bad seasons for years.

In 2017 in Toowoomba, it got into the High 30's and low 40's
I had not many birds at the time, all I could do was put my King quails in a little cage with a fan on them and hose the aviary roof regularly

That's normal summer weather here on the West coast, and my birds just get fresh water more often and left in peace to sit it out. The King quail like to sand bath at that time of year. Stubble Quail live wild north of here.

I lost quite a few birds last summer to heat stress; some while on the nest box. In Brisbane it was around 33 degrees most of the time. Once it got to 38!

Tin roofs are pretty well nest roasters during the heat

Maybe a portable fan might be suitable next summer.... Kmart sells them for $15

I have tin roofs. If you can't have your avairy under a big shady tree (like most of mine) Put a shade sail over the top with a gap between the roof and the shade sail that acts as a breezeway. That's what hubby did with the avairy the tree does not shade, and it works a treat.

I had it under a big shady tree. 15-20m tall jacaranda. Two tall trees. But unfortunately our neighbours behind us cut it down unexpectedly (I thought they were protected) to subdivide. Wild birds used to live in that thing. Lorikeets, honeyeaters, King Parrots, galahs you name it. Worst thing is now they can see straight into our house.
