Just an update with the scores now:

We’ve got the Gouldian Finch up top sitting pretty at 4 meanwhile the Painted, Masked, Pictorella and Double-Barred finch tie for second with 3 points. The Crimson finch is taking up 3rd with two points while at the bottom (not counting the Finches with no votes) are Red-Eared Firetails, BFPFs, Longtails, Chestnut Breasts, Redbrows and Stars. Good luck with whichever finch you hope to win and remember to vote if you haven’t yet.

I am working on a foreign Finches poll which will be available soon with a huge help from noah.till so thanks so much for that.

Thanks
Aidan

Definitely a subspecies of the common redbrow found in Northern Qld. In most States a redbrow is a redbrow for authorities to monitor captive populations. Scientifically, they are named firstly Neochmia temporalis with a subspecies name last hence N t lesser.
This is a lesser Redbrow, compare with the common redbrow finch pic if you have one. Sexing is similar to saint helena's and easier than the common redbrow. Cocks have black under covert tail feathers up to the vent and hens are steel grey.

Yes sorry, we call them lesser redbrows for easy ID. Minor means the same as lesser but i should have ID the bird with the proper scientific name.
