I had an orange head and a red head gouldian as my very first birds... Didn't last long as i didn't have a rat wall on the aviary.

Thanks Shane for the get back on topic hint :) but i just love reading what these young guys are saying. Reminds me of them when i was their age.

My favorite finches are all finches Native and foreign but in the last 10 years i have specialized in hard to get Native finches like lesser redbrows and WB crimson finches.

These topics always spiral off into other conversations, don’t they. I mean, look at the topic ‘The Future of Aviculture’ and how that ended up as a talk about TV shows, Indian Mynahs, Animal Rights Groups and Cultural Relativism. Good to have conversation though :)

I had an aviary visit to my place and a few others in Toowoomba, including Banksy's, by the Fraser Coast Bird Club, and they checked out and saw all our collections and they went to Banksy's place and everyone absolutely loved it there.
It’s kind of amazing to believe that he re-established a species so common as a household pet - I have a friend who had 4 normal quakers - one for each member of the family. And 220 Aviaries, wow that’s a lot!

Please stop testing the boundaries, there is a forum for parrots if you want to talk about them. The topic is "Everyone's Favourite Finches"

Thanks Admin.

White Bellied Crimsons are a truly lovely bird (as so I've heard), as well as lesser redbrows
How much are WB Crimsons nowadays if I may ask, they are around the $1000 mark aren't they?
Thanks

Hi,

So, I've created a poll about everyone's favourite australian finch, sorry I had to do it in genus-es, the questions couldn't take 18-or-so finches. On 31/8/19, I will put the top 3 most popular finches in another poll and then we will see the most popular. Remember, only take the poll once but you can vote for more than one finch.

Good luck, here it is: https://pollsgo.com/poll?p=CXhXXbi

Thanks
