How's everyone's birds doing lately? I've got Plumheads and Gouldians fledged, my Silverbills are about to fledge too.

Been trying to find the chance to rebrush the aviaries, Black rumped double bars and Javan Munias have been going nuts

Nice! I can see they're getting lots of green seeding grasses. :)

I have that round here. What starts off as food ends up as nesting material. Still playing round with the Red Zebs. (See the pics under Red Zebs for an idea of how that is going)

love Java's

never had them before but really liking the tight feather.

I my canary holding pen. I figure the finches can breed whilst the canaries chill.

The last 3 days have been wild in my big finch aviary.

A clutch of red-faced parrotfinches fledged, and a clutch of emblema finches fledged, and two clutches (or one massive clutch) of Gouldians fledged, and a clutch of king quail hatched. And then this morning a couple of African firefinches appeared.

~25 extra birds appearing all at once makes the aviary look very full. Thrilled though; especially with the parrotfinches as I've not had them breed before.
