Lutino parrot finches

But if a lutino cock bred with a normal hen, would there be a chance of one of those speckley birds in the offspring?

Everything is possible. But as people have bred for the "clean" lutinos, the "dirty" lutino gene may be in short supply.

No the grizzle pied is a separate mutation and mode of inheritance and think it is autosomal recessive. Lutino is sexlinked recessive. Overseas they do have a visual split lutino that is very similar to our own visually split Australian yellow gouldian. In the split Lutino cock bird in Europe white patches in the face and under the bill is seen but of coarse due to the mutation hens can't be split for lutino.

This is a pied but the split cock lutino only has white patches on the face and under the bill similar to this one.
