What have you found with the weerios/quarrion Deb? As they may be a better comparison being parrotts too.

Theres no Albinos in Quarrion , closest is Lutino Whieface and these seem to be of normal size if not a more streamlined bird .
Very confused now , might put a light pied grey to the albino just to be on the safe size ...bugger turning out RRumps that look like white budgies .

When I breed white to white (black eyed) never lost size at all, but since whites have been in canaries for many years compared to red rumps I can't say if you'll lose size or not, only way to find out is to try but if worried stick to your plan. Sorry can't be any more help than that.

Sorry to drag this further off topic.
In parrots there is, to my knowledge, no single albino mutation. All "Albino"'s are actually BlueLutino. That is, a combination of Blue and Lutino. (or Whiteface and Lutino in the cockatiel as already mentioned) As the Blue and Lutino mutations occurr in the Red-rump, I would assume that the same applies.

If you breed white to white then they will normally produce smaller offspring, as most white birds are hard/yellow (smaller) feather. If you keep doing it then you will experince feather problems as well.
If they are both dominant white then it will lead to death of chicks as well as 25% of chicks receive both dominant genes from parents and will die when they hatch or soon afterwards.
The normal mating to retain size and feather quality is a white bird to a buff/soft (larger) feather bird.
