Its rained here since lunchtime yesterday and doesnt look like stopping anytime soon, but the garden is looking far better for it, check out the vine on the pergola. The cold nights have some benefit.

Looking colourful Di. Feel free to send some of that rain this way. We are getting the chilly east winds, and bright sunshine.

Only if you're prepared to fight it off every year, vigorous growers generally.

Very pretty example Di.

Rain...it sure did rain! We have had 6o+ mm where we live. And COLD. Was up on the aviary walkway yesterday morning doing some leak fixing in the howlin' gale. I had tears in my eyes, either from the cold wind or the fact that I felt like pulling my walkway roof off and starting again I don't know. Winter here is a miserable time and really tests your faith (at least we don't get snow and ice I guess). There doesn't seem to be enough time in the day and you get sick of only being able to see your birds for a little bit of time before and after work. Luckily I stayed home yesterday and took care of a few jobs. But today the sun is trying to shine and the birds are singing and happiness has returned to my part of the world.
Hope you weren't troubled by the wet too much BlueButterfly.

Those climbers were about knee high when planted about 10-11 months ago, but we wanted quick coverage but we will be able to chop a few branches back during winter without having to fight the foliage.

Just those drips that go down the back of the neck as I go in and out of the aviaries. While in one aviary topping up food and water the weather really let loose so I decided to wait it out in the safety cage!
