Anti-Stress Perches...

Hello All,

I've been reading a bit about the anti-stress perches that are touted as a positive environmental factor for breeding Gouldians...

My question is, is there anyone out there using them, and what do they think of them? Has it increased breeding behaviour? Are the birds healthier?
The reason why I ask, is that, i have just modified one of my aviaries to two flights & now am looking to outfit it, and I am interested in the views of the members, if these perches really work in the 'real world'.
I have an open mind to this and if all agree that these perches work, I will make & install them. It's in your hands....

iv done a couple of posts on this topic, with pics and info etc,

i find my gouldians do use them, especially young and molting birds, and its also a favourite roosting spot for most gouldians in my aviaries.

not sure how the stress perch increases breeding behaviour, but when it is breeding time the birds that are chased by dominant pairs or birds defending their nest space seem to hop straight into a compartment in the stress perch to get away from the offending birds ( so it saves some birds from being chased from side to side of an aviary )

i think a couple other forum members lately have built some, hopefully they chip in on their thoughts
