Just returned from Adelaide where I visited the Adelaide Zoo. Saw some impressive birds with the most impressive in colour, size, presence and overall awe was the stunning pair of Hyacinth Macaws.

Only ever these birds in photos before and to see them at the zoo was like WOW!!!!!

Second favorite was the Palm Cockatoo's. Stunning birds as well.

Interesting thing was that they only had Black Headed Gouldians on display. Nice sized birds as well.

Great time at the Zoo and for a smaller sized complex compared to some, they had some very impressive displays indeed!!!!!

I went earlier this month and thoroughly enjoyed it! The Red-tailed Black Cockatoo took a fancy to my partner and wouldn't let him take photos of anything else! Unfortunately, the Hyacinths weren't too keen on posing.

I noticed the same thing with the gouldians, which I was surprised by. They had quite a few different finch species in large mixed aviaries, which was great to see.
