Can anyone tell me what this plant is, looks Christmas tree like (pine) but it's really soft.
And is it safe for budgies/finches??? (sorry if the pics are too big sometimes my resizing doesn't work)
Cheers, Mike

Woollybush, Adenanthos sericeus. Holds together really well after cut, great for bushing out the aviary.

If you have a planted aviary Adenanthos make a great addition but can get a bit scraggly if the light is poor or unevenly spread so a small parrot or regular pruning will help.

I have 3 of these Wooly pines in the garden just for aviary use. Nice and soft and they seem to stay green for quite a while too. I usually hose them down in the summer before putting them in the aviary.
