My pair of zebs continue to put their greens in the water dish does anyone know why they would do this??

Some finches do this to "freshen up" or re-hydrate limp greens. My Red-faced Parrotfinches in particular frequently do so.

My ones also seem to do so (particularly with cut seeded grasses) to soften them and line the nest with them. Sometimes they do the same with endive.

Is this normal behaviour when the female chases the male around and the male screams (not normal a normal zeb sound) sounds like a chick calling?? :whoa:

my zeb have finally produced a chick but unfortunately the chick did not make it she either fell from the nest or was thrown out of the nest. still sad to see :sob: my pair are like a married couple sometimes they get along the other time she is nagging the male around the house.
