in darwin for a few days , anyone know of a reliable spot to photograph crimson finches . got some good shots at Katherine will post later
I realized that If I had to choose, I would rather have birds than airplanes.

I went to Jabiru Dam ....crimson finches sitting on crocs heads picking at bugs i assumed...

Fog Dam,i got great pics of crimsons out of the car window a metre away on the side of the road,also DBs, redwinged parrots and most of the duck/geese and other water bird species.
But watch out for crocs. Cheers Craig

thanks , probably head out to fog dam tommorrow morning . checked out botanic gardens this morning fair few birds , double bars and crimsons, bit skittish .
