Birds I own/have owned: Budgerigars, **Zebra Finches**, **Star Finches**, Canaries, Diamond doves... Rocky the Galah! & Cocky the Sulphur Crested 'too

King Quail AKA Chinese Painted Quails are the easiest

Yes
Male have a white patch under chin with small lines on white patch and hens dont

King Quail are lovley little birds , easy to look after .
if you have kids or want a more "cuddly" type of Quail then japs ...they don't reproduce on their own :thumbdown: eat anything , give edible eggs ( my other birds love them boiled ) and are easy to handle , mine let me pick them up and even the odd escapee doesnt run away when I catch them back .
