Saw these little guys yesterday doing this and managed to get a photo of them doing the same this afternoon.

It's so incredibly cute and so patient of the king quail hen to have 4 of em piling in with her! lol

Very cute indeed. I couldn't find a runty baby painted one morning, just as a last guess I chased mrs quail off her nest and sure enough, there was the clever little one.

One of the reasons quail on the floor are a good idea. The old chick that survives because of it could be next years prize breeder.
