Back from Fiji with not much photo action, managed this shot of a Bulbul (I think) but apart
from the 25 million Mynah's did not see much of anything to photogragh.
Went to Eco Park, not very impressed, a couple of parrots,hawks,pigeons, geese and peacocks,
no finches. I would say the average fincho with a mixed collection would have more speices
in their backyard. Anyway had a great time beautiful country lovely people.

I think the bird you photographed is the Silktail, Lamprolia victoriae. It's one of Fiji's endangered birds so I think you were a better photographer than you think!

Hmmm tail seems too long for a silk tail, also head shape.... I think the assessment of bulbul is correct, sadly. Perhaps red vented?

I Think its A Juvenile Red Vent Bulbul.
