First time budgie breeder and looking to get some Violet young and ta daaaaah :thumbup:

Photo doesnt show it but it is a very deep violet bird ....gawjus .

Violet budgies are my favourite mutation colour, especially in either yellow-faced or clearwing. Nice one.

Combine those 2 & you get one very pretty bird, & I could never breed enough of them when I had them. Would breed about 20-30 per season, & still couldn't keep up.

Haven't had budgies for over 15 years Di, but am being pestered to get some more. Clearwings, Harlequins & Bar-Pieds were the main colours I bred, & had a few good blood lines as well, although didn't have any of the really expensive ones, the dearest was a nice grey Scoble blood cock at $400.

P.S. I was given the cock, I wouldn't pay $400 for a budgie.
