You think that you got a surprise!!! Two months ago I took out all the Gouldian nest boxes as I had bred too many and wanted to give them a break. Yesterday morning there were six just fledged youngsters on the perch. The parents had found a small half log on the aviary floor and had lined it with pine needles that had fallen through the roof. Must keep a closer eye on things in the future.

I'll just put it out there...this bird may help my flock...Different blood lines etc...It does look extremely healthy!!!
Are you going to Singleton...maybe we can chat & exchange birds for dollars?....

Nice catch, well sure still have 2 splits in there. What an excuse to spend this fine day in front of the aviary...searching for the birds feeding this youngster.
