Yes, and orange-cheeked waxbills and bronze-winged mannikins go for $15 each.
But that's due to having access to wild-caught birds, not due to improved breeding results.
And those prices have remained that way & will remain until they no longer have access to this seemingly inexhaustible supply.

Thanks for prices, at least gives us an idea of Basic prices
Yeah we have similar issues here in Canberra with supply and demand, particularly with rufous backs, song sparrows, black headed yellow siskin prices falling dramatically below the 'national prices' as our market is very small & easy to flood.
