Hi finch people!
I am a complete finch novice, having never kept anything more than a few budgies and quarrion as pets. But I have long been interested by finches, and planned to one day try my hand at some. To that end, I decided to join up and start learning a little more about finch keeping.
As far as societies and clubs goes, there seem to be a few that have websites, but I'm not sure if all these are still active, or of others that there may be that don't have website. Can anyone recommend some clubs in western Sydney?

Hi Mike
Best club in Sydney is the finch society of Australia. We meet second Wednesday of the month at 8pm in the Brennan Park Community Hall at Smithfield. The December meeting is not a meeting at all but rather it's a bird sale which would be great for you as you'll get to see a range of species all at once. I intend selling so come and say hello.

Finch Society of Australia it is then! I am in St Marys, so both Smithfield and Castlereagh are very doable. I like the idea of a sale, yeah, it would be great to see a whole range of birds.
