Hi
If you are not good at sexing try run a small lot of birds together,
Sexing methods I use are Males red over eye females before eye, males have redder rump and at the top of head the red on the male is like ( Hen is like <.
There compatible with most species. But Red Face are Very active and flighty and can annoy laid back species.
Make sure you worm them regularly they are acceptable to worms.
They like to nest in dry bush, bracken, and wooden nestboxes.
They do they get a obese sometimes
They like livefood especially mealworms and maggots I don't feed them livefood outside the breeding season
Give them a reasonable longish aviary
Thanks
Henry

I started out with one Pr with no results, finished up with 5 birds and when 1 Pr bonded and built a nest I took out the other 3
and they now consistintly fledge young. They are in an aviary with a mixed collection of other finches and all get the same food
including maggots and mealworms, they are the first into the food and the last to leave but as the aviary is 10mtrs long with the
food station at one end and the nesting area at the other they get plenty of exercise.Apart from never sitting still they don't appear
to trouble the other finches.
Cheers Greg.

I have kept and breed RFPF and Cutthroat in the same aviary.
