I find all 3 books were/are ground-breaking but I do not like the arrangement of the big red one.
I personally prefer individual treatments of each species.
I also get a bit confused with the species names and extra species not seemingly in Austrakia.
It's probably just me.
That said, I love all 3 books and use them constantly. Favourite= the green one :)

Anybody else have any idea where I might find the Russell Kingston black book. I have the other 2 and almost every other finch book available around the world (above 200 pages). I never knew this one existed as it never appears in any boom search.

I wonder if anybody has ever posted a compete list of all finch books published? I am a bit obsessed!
