We recently had a week of no sun and moist wet but warm weather here in the Kimberley. I had a painted female and one of my Split Blue cock Gouldians come down with some sort of illness. I suspect Coccidiosis..however the cockbird is not in an avairy with a dirt floor. I have started both on Sulphadim for the past 3 days. My quaestions are as follows:
Do I continue a few more days with Sulphadim (it did not say on bottle how long to treat for like Ronivet S does??)
Should I follow with a wormng as both birds are/were "going light"- Is this safe after using sulphadim- I have the wormout gel stuff..
Any advice would be great!
Im pretty sure its not mite related too.
Since starting the Sulphadim 3 days ago..both birds appear to be doing better (more active eating and singing..)
Thanks all and hope your breeding seasons are going well
