I recently checked on a Gouldian nest to see 5 eggs with an uncoloured hen sitting on them. I have looked a few times since to see the same hen on the nest so they seem to be hers.
Does this happen often and what are the chances of the eggs hatching?

It happens occasionally when early season young are left in breeding aviaries. If the eggs are fertile, they are a good chance of hatching.
