Well thank you all for your welcome, I am looking forward to being in touch and hope you can devulge some of the knowledge that you undoubtly have which I do not and which I most seriously need.
Loz very funny for you to think I live in the water on the Murray :lolno:

You ask about my bird accomadation, well we have an avairy that is 2400 mm square x 2000mm walls with a gabled roof wherin our zebbies and emblemas reside, our gouldians reside in a wire cage for now of 900mm x 700mm x 1400mm high on a hopefully cat proof stand. They all seem to very chirpy and happy there within

Looks and sounds good. Only problem I forsee is the painteds trying to breed with all those Zebs dominating them. Any where to build another avairy for them?

G'Day E Orix, thanks and its a great place to be with our 4 seasons and normally good weather

finchbreeder you are so right, those Zebs are far too invasive for the emblemas, they pinch there food and anything they try to build is taken from the emblemas.
I am currently trying to remove a petosterim root large so that I can build a new double avairy for both the emblemas and Gouldians. Be a while as golf is calling all the time.

Gouldians and Painteds will be fine together. 3 days a week for finches 3 days a week for golf and 1 day to do the boring stuff.

Best way would probably be to introduce the Goulds and Painteds to an avairy at the same time. So no bird has already appointed themselves king. That way they all start on a leval playing field.

O.K. finchbreeder, have started my new avairy which will be divided into 2 parts. Weather has been against me among other demands.
