Hello guys, I have a silver male king quail with two new brown females and they've started to breed with the warmer weather and all and I know it's a possibility for the male to kill the babies, it's never happened to this one but he'll generally attack the females days within hatching of the eggs. I would normally take him out of the aviary and put him in another one but then the females will stop sitting. However this season he's actually been sitting on the eggs with both the hens which I find unusual, I was wondering if anyone here has experienced this type of thing happen before?
Thanks guys. :)

My boys will occassionally sit on the eggs with their wives for short periods of time. But not regularly. And my boys never attack uncoloured young.

I have had a male that pushed a disinterested female to lay, then proceeded to solely incubate and raise the chicks himself.
