Looks like the parrots are going to be the only ones breeding here this year , so far Turquoise on the second clutch and the Scarlets have chicks and eggs :D .
Oh well their doing it for the team lol the money made will most likely go on more finches / parafanalia ...Oh and to make things better other halfs work mate is coming to look at the zebs so fingers crossed they will be rehomed by the end of the day :) will still have the crazy girl zeb but she kinda grew on me , the manic mob will be gone

probably to early to say that the parrots might be your only birds to breed, give it a month or two & you'll most likely find a lot of your finches sitting as well :D

Hope so Mickp and to be fair the weather has been all over the place so far this spring , there is a lot of chasing and bickering over nesting material so you may well be right :D

The only thing that can truly be said to be prolific round here this year is the Diamond Doves.
Anyone want to buy a Diamond Dove or 3? Now if I could just find the off switch to stop them laying.
Zebs have also done a resonable production early in the year, but almost stopped when I rearranged them all and nicked their nests.
One beatiful baby Java and mum and dad are back on eggs. :D
Cuban hen has vanished (please be on eggs) ;)
Canary has laid twice, 1st time one egg dead in shell, 2nd time 5 eggs 2 hatched both fine at 1 week and dead at 2 weeks. Decided to nick her nest in the hope that a change of nesting recepticle might help. She was in a metal float hanging from the roof.
And the Orange breasteds are showing great enthusiasm over green stuff, and nesting sites at the moment. :P
But that is the sum total of activity round here so, can't say it's a great year.

My four baby canaries are out and about in the aviary.
The other female canary is sitting on at least three eggs. Due to hatch 21st Nov
Orange breasts sitting on four eggs. Due to hatch this Thursday. (fingers and toes crossed for this)
Ruddies on four maybe five eggs. Due to hatch 19th Nov.

Im just hoping this hot weather wont disturb them too much
