Something has been worrying the birds at night the past few days, climbing on the aviary roof after dark. Whatever it is makes little brown/dark tan round poops which land in the bath water. They are quite sticky little poops, smearing when I try to remove them and needing a bit of a rub to get them off completely. What kind of critter is this?!

What kind of teeny weeny possum would that be? Possum poo here is greyish-brown, fibrous and ~1.5cm x 0.8cm.

(Sorry! :gurn: )

These little poopies are waaaay smaller, lighter and stickier.

(Very sorry.)

Native Rat? We have them here in Geelong, they attack tomatoes and other fruit.I haven't seen one but a mate of mine caught one in a rat trap, they have a longer jaw than the common rat and a white tipped tail. Craig

I think ring tail possum, maybe wrong ,but have lots at my place,be careful not to get it into your water supply,as you don't use antibiotics to make your birds strong ,it could be devastating to your flock, garyh.

Everything i know rats, mice, possum has elongated poo like rice. Never came across anything with round poo.
