Mate did a nest check and found two chicks just feathered up, one looks normal and the other is yellow ??? Any ideas/opinions

Yep, yellow, the other one looks quite light too so it could be SF, which means it would be a cock.
Does your friend know the parents?

Looks like a SF euro yellow cock and the yellow bird might very well be a hen.

Depends on the parents genetic mix.

Good stuff though
