thought i'd give my digital inspection camera a try. once in the aviary sited a tri colours nest and after a slight bump - out she flew. this camera has the larger 3.4 screen and video apart from this snap shot i took on the sd card.

had these 3 pair of dilute tri's sold then found out they had young so told the buyer they would be free on the deal.sale fell through and had a look today ...now 2 in the nest.
might just keep these now and place in different aviaries.dilutes look crap but the split cocks nice. who ever bred these ruined a good finch!
yeah! right wildbill - just like you and your diamonds. see never can win! now what started them off this time. lebanese cucumber

Apparently these dilutes occur naturally in the wild - guess you cant take all the credit for ruining a great finch unless you are he himself.... :lolno: :lolno:

a great gadget wildbill!
but why do it?
sorry but i have an issue with nest inspection as a whole.
if you need to know the success/failure of a clutch of eggs just wait the few extra days after the "due" date....
many species, even old plumheads/stars/fires will not tolerate nest inspection....move the feathers from the entrance tunnel and you will lose the lot, not worth it when the inspection is hardly justified.

climbing back off the soapbox now with cap in hand.
