What if anything would you say was wrong with this boy?
He is eating, drinking & flying ok but when he settles this is what he looks like!
He has a female which we bought with him, but she is not interesting in him except as a snuggle buddy at night.

He has been calling/singing ( sort of!! pathetic really!) to her and has tried to mate with her but nope she's not interested!
When we had all our breeding pairs in the same cage he would be the one they picked on!

Now he is just in with some babies and his female, and the babies will have a go occasionally but mostly they leave him alone.

None of the others have shown any sign of anything like this and upto date we have not lost any birds to sickness

Can you provide a bit more information like what are his droppings like, is he sleeping more than normal etc.. Can you catch him and feel if he is going light?

Birds have a way of hiding their illnesses very well. It's by observing from afar when u find something isn't right.

He may be moulting too or just being picked on.

He doesn't seem to be getting light, he flies around quite happily, not sleeping more than the others, and as far as his droppings are concerned, haven't been there when he poops! lol
As far as moulting is concerned, I haven't seen any of my finches moult yet but then we have only had them for about 9 months!

:)
