Is it possible to feed your birds this native spinach?

Absolutely. Certainly edible by humans, so go for it. They might take some time to get accustomed to it, so try a little and often until they get into it.

I have grown it and fed it to my finches in a mixture of fresh greens offered in the past. It was eaten as keenly as other broadleaf greens. I have heard that it is high in oxalic acid, as is silver beet and some other greens, but wouldn't hesitate to use it as part of a varied green food component of a diet for finches.
