hi everyone. I just bought a yellow hen painted if I breed it with a normal red will I get any yellow young

No. The young will be split. (Red in colour split for yellow)

Try your luck. You never know if your red bird is split for yellow.

My first pair of finches were a pair of Painteds, yellow cock, and what I thought was a normal hen....Then I got yellow young from them, so like elferoz777 said, try your luck, you never know.
