Thought I'd start the ball rolling with some pics you can all drool over from friday's aviary tour. These few are at Tintolas on the far north NSW coast. No doubt many others who attended the conference will add to these as they arrive home.

We were greeted by Pearl (and Tintola) - here's a YouTube video - Pearl steals the show

One thing I learned at the convention was that I need a new short lens. The cheap kit lens just didn't cut it for sharpness or image quality (even Bruce's Nikon probably did better than mine... :eh: ;-) ), and it REALLY didn't cope well in the dimly lit auditorium!! Ah well... Here are some anyway. I'll write a full report during the week.

It wouldn't be a post by me if there wasn't at least one Blue-cap, would it :D

The wild birds were just as interesting, a massive flowering tree at Bronwyn's was bursting with lorikeets and honeyeaters, including this male Scarlet Honeyeater.
