2 pairs (1 normal & 1 /blue) 17 young on the perch. Managed to get 2 blues out of my pair of splits in different clutches but at 7weeks old they died due to a unknown illness..
I did manage to throw a random Aus yellow out of my normal pair but was the last to hatch out of 6 eggs and didn't last the week..
I think thats not bad considering the overall numbers produced.
I have already culled and am ready for January 2015. I have got my known split blues planned with blues and some splits paired with possible splits (worse case is I breed some normals to out cross to best case is a blue turns up).
I am alos focusing on my euro yellows.
I trialed breeding (yellows) colour to colour this year and the resulting birds looked great in colour but they were small. I think I will continue to build good colout and size and breed splits to colour. All are orange headed yellow backs.
I plan on reducing my breeding pairs from 22 to around 6 - 8 and really focus my efforts.
Breeding Project 2020-2025.
