 I have 2 small holding aviaries, and 2 large aviaries, one 10m by 6m, and another 15m by 4m.
I keep a mixed collection of Aussie and Foreign Finches, also 4 pair of skylarks. I just love their whistling.

Hey Spitfire I'm interested in your skylarks. Are they wild-caught or? How do you keep them? Are you able to keep more than a pair per cage? What do you do with the young if you breed them? We don't see any wild in Sydney are they prevalent in your area?

Sky Larks are prevalent in Victoria. I don't keep them in cages but in one of my aviaries.
My birds are wild caught and last season I had them in 1 pair to an aviary Although some scratched a depression in the ground an formed a nest I did not see any eggs.
The weather in Vicrtoria last year was unstable and not condusive to them breeding. This year I put all 4 pair in the one aviary and I am hoping that by picking their own mate we will have some success. I know of a trapper that does send some birds to a dealer in Sydney. Do not know which one. Hopefully if I breed any this coming season, we will talk again.
