I had a request to show my aviaries and what species live in them. In the main aviary I have Painted Firetails, Cubans, Longtails, Gouldians, Chestnuts, Stars, Plumheads, Fire Finches, Orange Breasted waxbills and Red faced parrot finches. In my smaller Aviary I have Cordon Blues, Cuban, red faced Parrot Finches and Gouldians.

I have planted out my main aviary with a lot of grasses and so far they seed at the right time for the birds thus eliminating the need to put seeding. This seems to be working well

cheers

Storz Welcome to forum. I love seeing big aviaries coming out of the Victorian country side, and to think my ex wife never wanted to shift to the country.

I think that I am having reasonable success, each year since it was constructed I have breed over 100 young of varying types. I am sure that I could increase on this dramatically if I removed the young as they become independent but I have plenty of room in the aviary for them and I spend a lot of time in there enjoying them. I just have one clean out at the end of the season

Great aviaries!! You don't put seed out in main aviary? thats an accomplishment on its own well done! how about other foods such as live or soft foods and such?
