Doing a few enquiries, does anyone still keep and breed the Himalayan Greenfinch. I saw they were I the FSA 2014 price guide for $600, but checking bird books abou tthem there is limited knoledge on them in Australia.
Does anyone know their status in Aus and what they are like as a bird to keep?

They are usually available around Melbourne Bird Sales. They are kept like any Normal Greenfinch and breed in open cup shape nests. There diet consists of canary seed, sunflower and Safflower,
they do take an egg and biscuit mix once they have young in the nest. They breed in Spring and Autumn down here in Melbourne and are known as a cold weather bird.Have kept them but no longer have them. Good Luck.
