Some years ago I heard someone in SA had couple of pairs of Lawrence's Goldfinches, does anyone know if these rare birds still exist in Australian Aviculture or was it just another "tall" story? About 10 years ago there were only couple of pairs in Europe that I knew off, people were willing to pay up to $5000 for a pair and look them now at the Bird show in Germany!

Great to see that those remaining pairs in Europe were of the fertile and willing to breed type. And that the European finch keepers gave them the necessary loving care.
