Hey all, i had to take some pics for my Father In-law so i thought i would share the pics with u as well.
The first 3 pics are of my breeding room im starting to fit out for winter, i decided to set the room up so i don't have to worry about wind, rain, cats etc. while they are breeding.
Breeding cages are 1500mm long, 450mm deep and 450mm high and the nest boxes will be hung on the outside of the cages.
The rest of the pics are of the Gouldians i have at the moment.

Nice healthy looking birds.
And the birdroom looks draught proof.

Thanks guys, draught proof yes, ant proof no so i got to work that one out by sealing up the bottom of the walls. This weekend im changing the old plastic sheeting at the top of the side wall to the clear corrugated stuff and will prob finish putting up the lights if i get time. Oh and a nice chair and maybe bar fridge (for them of course lol).
Other than that i have to knock up some largish holding cages for fledglings before they go out to the aviary's to colour up. I had a real problem with the winter weather last year so hopefully this solves a few problems and stops me stressing out when the weather turns nasty.
