This is my second attempt at Auroras after my first attempt ended in disaster with the hen dying within days of purchase. After moving the aviaries to their current location I was determined to try again and obtained 3 pair to start my breeding project. I've been lucky enough to produce 2 young from 2 of the pairs. Not a great start but the birds are young and they're both on eggs at the moment so fingers crossed. They're going through heaps of termites and I was surprised to see how much they love seeding grasses.

Good to see they're going well, their sister has had a maiden clutch of 2, 2nd round of 4 & is back down again now. 1st clutch were a pr, 2nd clutch look like 2 & 2, might get a few more cocks with her than I did with her mother 5 out of 20.
