Avatar Help needed

Hi everyone iam new to this forum and iam trying to setup up my avatar.
Now Maximum dimensions; width: 120 pixels, height: 120 pixels, file size: 14.65 KiB.
i cant seem to find a photo that small .Do people find a photo then cut it down? if so how?

the app is called SIMPLE RESIZER. "Simon" was needing help and it was the simplest way to fix his problem. nothing nasty or sarcastic intended from me.
