I have a pair of grass finches who are not related to each other. They have bred a couple of times. Each time there was one completely white chick in the brood. These white chicks all died whitin a couple of weeks after leaving the nest.
On the latest brood there are two white ones. Their normal colour sibling is ok but the white ones seems to have a problem to fly properly, and when they do, they give me the impression that they can not see properly.
Is there an explanation for this and should I split the parents?

I agree with Rich, i take it that these are longtails and the cock bird is split and these young are albino hens. CraigBlue Cuban wrote:White bird bad vision good chance it's a albino, do they have pink or red eyes?
