According to what I've read, it remains toxic when dried.

Rob, make up your own mind and only go with what you feel comfortable with, there are plenty of other options.

It may or may not be toxic once dried but no finch is going to eat dry bracken anyway.

My reason for starting this thread was to find out how many people are actually using it. Also how many people have used galvo spray (zinc). Has anyone using it had their birds get sick or die?
Nobody has really said they use it yet or not. I know the risks and toxicity of it already.

Ive been using bracken fern in wire baskets for a couple of year without any problems.

I use bracken often,no probs,gal spray the same,just make sure it's completely dry before letting birds near it,garyh

I've been using bracken fern for a number of years in wire baskets. Put it in green - never had a problem.
