One of the gouldian hens is constantly looking at her feet/legs/body?
Then she sorts stamps her foot on the branch rapidly.
Ive checked the leg ring - no problem there
the whole flock has been treated with moxidectin recently - no other birds doing this.
My next thought is to change the leg ring.
Any one else had this?
weird behaviour?

I think Mick has the right diagnose for this condition.

Well the uploader worked great for this pic
Ive checked her feet no poop carrying. As in the pic her feet are clean. I might just change the leg ring and see if that stops it.
Will have a look for small cuts or cracks and check the length of her nails too before changing the leg ring

Not keen on them myself , only use them on the finches to avoid inbreeding ,,,,my parrots being slower to mature dont need or have them ...they are a necessary evil for me.

I generally find birds that are older that get leg rings worry at it for a couple of days then forget all about it. I am changing her leg rings today, so I will see what happens.
As much as I would like to see the birds in their natural state, the rings help to stop inbreeding and its associated problems.
