All I can say is WOW! Who would think you could get that happening in a Gouldian? Goes to show how amazing genetics can be sometimes. I guess if you think about it, the ring of blue around the black head is just taking over the black area.

It is normal for a dilute Red or Orange head to have no Black round the face just Blue so I guess this is a dilute Black head.
Dilute is after all a bird deficent in Black melanin, so it makes perfect sence that is possible when you know that. Just hadn't given it any thought before. :D I like it, this is very tempting. Pity I have no Black heads, to play with.
