One finch in an aviary

The aviary is smallish and had a pair of Zebras. The hen died. Is it mean to keep a Zebra by itself with no mate?

Would two cocks exist harmoniously together?

Finches are very social creatures and don't do well alone. Couldn't you buy a replacement hen?

Finches like people like to have a friend to chat too. I does not matter if the friend is the same or the opposite sex. And if the same sex can even be a different type of finch. But not a friend who is the opposite sex and a different type. Some finches will behave inappropriately in these circumstances.

How small is "smallish?" Just get anther hen. Simple.
