Hi I have a mixed aviary cordons painteds ruddies and parrot finches I haven't seen any birds in the box but the nest I started and one pair has completed a well built dense cyclinder at the enterance hole does anyone have thoughts on whose nest it could be? I also have nest cylinder no nests in it all are young birds

That would be awesome if it was parrot finches as they are my tri coloureds if they built a nest is there a high chance of laying eggs or do they build multiple nests before laying eggs the nest is densely packed so I can't see in

Don't know which PF but I'd put be happyto put $10 on the nose for the PF & $5 each way on the ruddies to hedge my bets (especially if its well-lined) which at 16s would be a great bet.

So will the male tri. Coloured sit on top of the box while the female sits on eggs during the day ?
