Pretty sure that is a tree knot that looks like it has long nails, the knot matches the other knots on the branch. Craig

I joined together two 800mm x 1500mm aviaries, so they now have double space.

I've been keeping an eye on the new housemate (it's been over a month now), and although she is happy and healthy, my other four haven't really taken to her, so maybe she's not the right mix (or they were happy in their foursome!). If anyone has access to the Mornington Peninsula and would love to add a sea-green parrot finch to their collection, you are most welcome to come and collect her. Yes, she's one lucky finch, but she may as well be in a new home where she can settle in.
