Had you recently got seed from a different source?I once lost over a dozen birds accross 3 avairys in 48hrs. Only difference, had been very busy, run low on seed, grabbed a bag from the local supermarket instead of a seed supplier. Assumption, the bag had been stored in a wharehouse against something that was toxic to birds. Removed all the seed and used for sprouting, deaths stopped. Or did you give him greens from a difernt source? Could have been sprayed for weeds? Sorry for your loss.

No I get my seed from a produce store and theirs is pretty good. I don’t spray my seed grasses, so I think maybe the mites didn’t like the avimec and were making it difficult to breathe.
I have been trying to think if there was anything different, but don’t think so.
I have a fourteen year old Gloster who mainly lives inside and he was getting the same food as the younger one.
Thank you for your help
